Test your frequency

Hi Reader

In my last email, I spoke about how your voice frequency impacts how people perceive you—and why a range around 125 Hz tends to sound more confident and pleasant.

Now here’s the obvious next question: “How do I know my frequency?”

You don’t need a studio, or any need expensive equipment.

Your phone is enough. There’s a mobile app called Voice Tools. (It's there in Appstore but I'm sure there should be a similar one in Playstore as well). It’s simple, free, and surprisingly powerful.

Here’s what it lets you do:

• See your voice pitch in real time
• Measure your speaking frequency (in Hz)
• Track how your voice changes as you speak
• Practice lowering and stabilizing your tone

It looks like this...

How to Use the App.

  1. Install the app
  2. Open the Pitch.
  3. Start speaking naturally (don’t try to “perform”)
  4. Talk for 20–30 seconds
  5. Observe the average frequency range

Try this this simple exercise.

Record yourself twice:

Version 1: Speak normally and see your frequency is... if it' s within 100 to 150 Hz.. you are good. If not....
Version 2: Slow down, breathe deeper, and relax your throat

Now compare the frequency.

Most people notice that their voice naturally drops closer to a more pleasant range when they relax.

When your voice is stable and grounded, people listen longer, you sound more confident and your words carries more weight. And based on research, more money in your bank.

If you try this, just reply and tell me your range—I’d love to hear what you discover.

Voice is just one aspect. In the next email, I'll share something super cool. You can self diagnose areas that'll need to change. Keep a watch for this.

As always, thanks for being awesome!

Hi Reader Have you ever sat through a status update and wondered... "What was the point of that?" Most status updates are full of information—but very little clarity. In my latest video, I share a rant and also one simple shift that can make your updates more valuable, more memorable, and more likely to earn trust from your leader, team, and clients. It'll only take a few minutes to watch, and I think you'll never look at status updates the same way again. I'd love to know what you think...

Hi Reader Fourteen years ago, I thought I had finally figured out public speaking. For weeks, my world revolved around one speech. I rewrote it. I rehearsed it. I obsessed over every word, every pause, and every gesture. It was a key contests. I think it was Division level Speech Contest in Hartford, Connecticut. As the day approached, I could already picture the ending. I’d walk off the stage. The results would be announced. And my name would be among the winners. The day finally arrived. I...

Hi Reader For years, I've taught public speaking. Recently, I noticed something interesting. Some professionals get promoted faster. Some entrepreneurs attract more opportunities. Some leaders gain influence quickly. And it isn't always because they're smarter or more experienced. They communicate differently. They possess what I call Communication Intelligence. Think about two people with the same knowledge. The same qualifications. The same technical expertise. One struggles to get noticed....
